In cooperation with the German-American Institute Saarland, the Chair of North American Literary and Cultural Studies at Saarland University (NamLitCult at UdS) organizes the annual 2-day AMERICAN STUDIES GRADUATE FORUM that invites doctoral and advanced Master students from Saarland University, the partner universities of the University of the Greater Region, and beyond to present their current projects-in-progress in a workshop-style setting. The forum aims at offering participants a chance to discuss their research with peers as well as experienced and senior scholars.

At the UdS American Studies Graduate Forum 2019 entitled Liquid Trajectories: Flight, Mobility, and Migration, speakers discuss issues of mobility, migration, and the sea.
