Location / Travel

The city of Saarbruecken is located on the German-French border in the heart of Europe. Due to its high-speed train connections, Saarbruecken lies within easy reach of both Paris and Frankfurt (2-3 hours).

Most of the workshop sessions will take place at the university campus (building C7 4, room 1.17; further rooms tba). You can find the official campus map here or you can get a detailed campus map with additional information and directions regarding the Gender*Queer*Workshop here.

In the evenings, we will meet in downtown Saarbruecken for Judith Jack Halberstam's public key note lecture (Frauenbibliothek Saar, Bleichstr. 4) and Elliat Graney-Saucke's documentary film and performance (Kino 8 1/2, Nauwieserstr. 19).

For detailed information about bus services and times, please consult also our Gender*Queer*Workshop map on maps.google.com or download our Gender*Queer*Workshop map as .pdf file.
