DEFEP: Distance Education for Future
best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labor market
The idea of the project is to implement a sustainable, efficient, and effective system of distance education in the institutions of higher education of the Eastern Partnership countries as a separate and independent form of learning based on the principles and methods of didactics, most suitable for the formation of promising competencies of applicants, according to cognitive, behavioral, and technological transformations of individual, society, and the labor market.
Kharkiv Conference
20-22 September 2023
The conference „TRANSFORMATIONS OF PERSONALITY, SOCIETY AND THE LABOR MARKET: FUTURE CHALLENGES AND IMPACT ON EDUCATION” was organised by partner universities of the DEFEP international project from Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, Spain, and Italy on 20-22 September 2023 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. As the conference was held in a hybrid format, several members of our chair, including Prof. Fellner, had a unique opportunity to join the online discussion on the future of distance education in the modern world.

Semi-Annual Coordinating Board Meeting at Saarland University

The semi-annual Coordinating Board Meeting will take place from 10 - 14 July 2023 at Saarland University. The topic of the meeting will be "Management of the Distance Education Project."

Study Visit at Saarland University
10-14 July 2023
The Ukrainian and Moldovan project partners will start their tour to the EU partner universities by coming to Saarland University for the first Study Visit on the topic of "Design Digital Master's Program."

Prof. Fellner and her team were happy to host two international events within the framework of the project "Erasmus+ KA2 DEFEP 'Distance Education for Future: best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labor market'" on 10-14 July 2023.
The first event organized as a study visit „Design of Digital Master’s Program“ aimed at summarizing the best practices in the distance education systems in European universities. The latter was the semi-annual coordinating board meeting „Management of the distance education project.“ The event focused on the financial and management plan of DEFEP as well as the dissemination of the project.
Visited by 30+ representatives of universities from Ukraine, Moldova, Italy, and Germany, both events addressed challenges related to developing a sustainable and effective distance education system.
