Yuliya Stodolinska is an Associate Professor at the Department of English Philology at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. She develops and implements the course syllable and teaching materials for the courses taught: Intercultural Business Communication and Translation, American Studies and Intercultural Communication, Business English, English as a Foreign Language. Yuliya Stodolinska defended her PhD dissertation in Germanic Languages at Kherson State University in 2013.
She is an active participant of DAAD Ostpartnerschaftsprogramm, «The Bio‑Politics of Borders in Times of Crisis» between Saarland University and Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. Yuliya Stodolinska has presented her research on border crossings portrayed in American children’s literature and American university discourse at the UdS American Studies Graduate Forum (Saarland University, 2018-2020). She is a recipient of DAAD University Summer Course Scholarship and completed a course in Intercultural Communication at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle Wittenberg (August – September 2009). Yuliya Stodolinska was awarded the Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program Fellowship and studied Business and Intercultural Communication at Riverland Community College (Austin, Minnesota, USA) in 2006-2007. Currently Yuliya Stodolinska is the academic advisor of students completing their Master’s thesis at the university and an external examiner of Ph.D. dissertations in Philology.
Cognitive Linguistics, Border Studies, Cultural Studies, Discourse Studies and she is the author of a number of publications in these fields of study.
